Palisades Tahoe is recognized for its world-class terrain, vibrant ski culture, and Olympic heritage as host of the 1960 Winter Games. The average annual snowfall at Palisades is 400 inches, with a peak of 9050 feet. If you’re looking for deep powder, steep chutes and bowls set to the gorgeous backdrop of Lake Tahoe, these two mountains will deliver. If you are new to skiing, you will appreciate the convenient access, welcoming instructors and mountain-top beginner slopes overlooking spectacular views. And if you are somewhere in between, you will enjoy all of the ski-able terrain with panoramic sights of the lake.
Olympic Valley features 3600 skiable acres, 29 lifts, 170 trails and 16 bowls. Add another 2400 skiable acres at Alpine Meadows with its 13 lifts, 100 trails and 7 bowls and you are sure to have fun every day on the slopes. In partnership with Achieve Tahoe, adaptive ski & snowboard lessons and dedicated lift lines are available. For more mountain information click Palisades Tahoe.
