About this event
Join Crescent Ski Council on a Douro River Cruise (Portugal) with Mayflower Cruise Line. Visit Lisbon for two days and then travel by coach to Porto where you will board your ship. Enjoy sailing on the Douro River and stopping at towns along the way. Visit the towns of Fatima (home to the Sanctuary of Fatima, an important pilgrimage site) and Lamego as well as others. On Day 7 you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Salamanca, Spain. During your guided walking tour, see amazingly detailed and intricately carved buildings of the university and the House of Shells. Enjoy the beauty of the Douro River Valley - a UNESCO World Heritage Site as you sail the twists and turns of the Douro River.

As with all international trips, we highly recommend travel insurance. This will cover many eventualities (lost luggage, illness, delays, etc.). If you do not want to insure the large cost of the trip, you should at least consider purchasing travel medical insurance which is generally very inexpensive in the $70-$100 range. Most US medical insurances do not provide coverage outside the US.
